Réponse :

Il faut mettre les verbes au passif.

Passif = "BE" (conjugué ) + participe passé

participe passé : verbes réguliers = verbe-ed

                            verbes irréguliers à apprendre

Le texte est au prétérit donc tous les verbes au passif auront la forme:

                                 was / were + participe passé

some Africans were captured by European traders, others were bought.

Then the captives were walked … and were held

they were exchanged

they were taken

they were sold

b. ( choisir entre voix active et voix passive )

A la voix active le sujet fait l'action

A la voix passive il subit l'action

The last festival turned into a nightmare.

A storm broke out

most people were terrified of the thunder and began to run

Some people were knocked over by others who were …

A fence fell on the crowd but fortunately nobody was hurt.
