déterminer les dimensions de ce rectangle

   soit  x : longueur du rectangle initial

 (x + 2)(y + 3) = x y + 3 x + 2 y + 6  ⇒  3 x + 2 y + 6  = 96

(x - 5)(y - 4) = x y - 4 x - 5 y + 20  ⇒ 4 x + 5 y - 20 = 135

on obtient un système d'équation

{3 x + 2 y = 90     ⇔ - 5 * {-15 x - 10 y = - 450

{4 x + 5 y = 155     ⇔  2*  { 8 x   + 10 y =  310

                                        ....................................

                                          - 7 x = - 140  ⇔ x = 140/7 = 20

  3*20 + 2 y = 90   ⇔ 60 + 2 y = 90   ⇔ 2 y = 30  ⇔ y = 30/2 = 15

Donc les dimensions du rectangle sont :  longueur  = 20 cm

                                                                     largeur      = 15 cm
